This course provides an introduction to the field of economic geography. The course explores processes driving spatial patterns of economic activity at the global, national, regional and urban scales. Topic areas include economic foundations, resources and agriculture, industrial location, land use and urban economies, globalization and international trade, the E-conomy and alternative economies.
