Sasha Leidman awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Graduate student Sasha Leidman has been awarded a 2018 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Sasha's selection was based on his demonstrated potential to contribute to strengthening the vitality of the U.S. science and engineering enterprise. His work uses polar hydrology and arctic fluvial geomorphology to answer questions about the impacts of climate change on ice sheets and terrestrial rivers. Currently, his work deals with understanding the effects of fluvial dynamics and sediment transport on the albedo of the Greenland Ice Sheet using geospatial technologies and field techniques.
