The Department of Geography at Rutgers presents our 2018 MaGrann Conference on the theme:

Race, Place, and Justice

Some of the most compelling scholarship in Geography and related fields today combines understandings of the spatial dimensions of social justice with place-based dynamics of race. This year’s MaGrann Conference features interdisciplinary presentations by scholars, activists, and scholar-activists from Rutgers and other institutions whose work brings empirical examples together with scholarship to address the intersections of race, place, and justice in diverse contexts throughout our world.

Invited Presenters include:

  • LaToya Eaves, Middle Tennessee State University
  • Tamara Nopper, Rhode Island College
  • Aretina Hamilton, Georgia Gwinnett College
  • Elizabeth Sweet, Temple University
  • Alissa Shockley, Temple University
  • Taida Wolfe, Rutgers
  • Rutgers Students with Children

A detailed schedule with complete list of presenters, titles, and abstracts is forthcoming and will be available at: https://sites.google.com/scarletmail.rutgers.edu/magrann2018
