Events Calendar
The Nature-Society Workshop brings together faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students from Geography and Geography-adjacent departments at nine regional universities (Clark, Cornell, Dartmouth, Pennsylvania State, Rutgers, SUNY-ESF, SUNY-Buffalo, Syracuse, and Temple) for a two-day event to discuss critical issues at the intersection of environmental and social sciences. Through panel conversation, plenary talks, dissertation chapter workshops, and local field trips, this event fosters intellectual exchange and encourages research collaborations between universities and across institutional rank. It also serves as a professional networking event, particularly for graduate students and junior faculty.
The workshop rotates annually through each of the participating institutions, and the Rutgers Geography Department will host the 12th annual workshop on October 11-12, 2024. We expect around 75 participants from across the nine universities.
