Information: Visiting student; Research Interests: Ms. Bengani is an urban scholar interested in the politics of land transformation and the everyday state. Her doctoral research examines how vacant railway lands are managed in Mumbai, exploring the institutional contestations that public lands are embedded in.

Information: Visiting Assistant Professor; Research Interests: Labban is a human-environment geographer interested in critical social theory, political economy, industrial microbiology and biotechnology, extraction, energy, and waste. He is working on two books: rethinking the inter-relationships between urbanization, mining, and wasting under modern capitalism; exploring the multiple intersections of various microbes with the circuits of capital.
